Today is sunny and 90 but the east wind is 10 to 15 with gusts to 25, Thursday is northeast 10 to 15, and by Sunday the storm chance climbs to 40 percent and then 50 percent for Monday and Tuesday. Every one of those numbers changes what runs, what gets cancelled and what you should book instead. Here are the answers, activity by activity.

One principle underneath all of it: Destin operators cancel for lightning and for sustained wind above their limits, not for a percentage on your phone. A 50 percent day is usually a dry morning and a wet hour in the afternoon, and the people who build their days around that get everything done.

Almost all of them, with route changes. Dolphin tours and harbor cruises run inside the harbor and East Pass basin and barely notice it. Is Crab Island a bad idea on a storm-chance day?

It is fine in the morning and a bad idea after about 1pm on a 40 to 50 percent day.
